Since Ill be skiing in Jackson Hole a lot this year I figured I might as well buy the 20 day season pass and save myself some money. I go online and look at prices to see that it is 565 for a junior pass!!! and 1040 for the adult. Sweet, a junior pass means you have to be 18 or under on opening day. Guess what my birthday IS opening day this year!
I figure it might be worth a call to JHMR to see if they might hook me up with a nice birthday gift of a junior pass....nope.
Ahhhhhh so frustrating. /rant
 
wow I am never purchasing a ticket from jackson that is fucking gay of them. ever heard of tie goes to the runner?

What time of day were you born? If it's after the chairs close you should be able to own them with that. Sadly I was born in the morning so I can't pull that. Then again no mountains open in august....
 
that blows, I agree through 19 and 20 are the worst birthdays ever, but 21 now that's a good one...haha.
 
Jackson does suck for season passes, but for day tickets they honor any big ski resort employment and give you 50% off a 3 day pass. As for age, 22 is the worst b day ever...
 
you guys are both wrong, 19 and 22 are sick fucking ages to be. i totally understand each of your reasons (and OP, im sorry that sucks dude) but you know how many people would KILL to be 19 or 22 again?
 
22 sucks because your already 21 and have nothing to look forward to. but turning 30 sucks even more.

OP, 19 is the worst birthday, there is no benifit, you're just 19. 18 is sick because you'e and adult and 20 isn't as bad, but is still pretty worthless too. Not being a teenager anymore isn't that cool. 19 and 20, worthless age changes.

 
I'm so glad Mountain Creek has a shoddy at best season pass policies. I turned 19 way before the season started, but because I was 18 at the time I bought it over the summer, it was cool.

I feel for you man, you got kind of screwed there. I live in Canada and I'm stoked to turn 21 so I can go to US resorts and be able to party as well.
 
You guys are looking at it all wrong. First, 19 is perhaps your best birthday. For males, that is peak physical fitness. As someone already mentioned, I'd kill to be 19 or 22 in terms of my body. However, I wouldn't trade the life I had then. Then you are complaining about being able to purchase a season pass to Jackson Hole. I only dream of skiing Jackson Hole once, and you get to do it all the time this winter? Perspective... But on the other side, I would agree that maybe they could have tossed you a bone. But it would have only been for the sake of being nice considering you wil be 19 the entire duration of the season...
 
Yup, perspective means a lot.

The physical fitness part hit me actually, im pretty thankful to be as fit as I am, I dread getting older and just being not QUITE as the year before...
 
IDK, i think its kind of bull. Im not done fighting this. Their policy says that you have to still be 18 on opening day, my time of birth is after the mountain has closed on opening day. I still think its BS, its my god damn birthday and thats 500 extra bucks ahhhh. If it doesn't work it doesn't work but IMO its the decent thing to do :-) !!!
 
Sorry to say pretty much everything sucks from 19 onwards! (I guess 21 is legal drinking in the US but everyone drinks anyway so that is BS).. 19 sucks, 20 sucks.. I swear to you 15-16 is the best.. You can do most of what you want, and you still have an excuse if you fuck up when acting like a twat.. and you still don't get hurt and that so easily.. I'm 22 and worryingly the injuries are catching up with me already..

Try talking to the head operation or owner or something.

But ask them if they want your money or not, Just say I will give you my 500 but im not spending 1000 dollars so take my 500 or get nothing. And tell them you will just ski somewhere else.
 
19 is sick if you live near the boarder ie niagara falls and can go over there to party since the us side sucks
 
just say your birthday is the next day when you apply, i don't remember having to provide any documents when i got my pass so this could work, and fill it out online. But you called them already so you could be fucked their.

you will soon see that everyday birthday past 21 is farrrrr worse than 19. Id give anything to be celebrating my 19th as compared to my 24th...

its not like i actually think 19 is a terrible age. I really dont give a fuck about birthdays, the difference from one year in age to the next really doesn't seem that important to me. Am i really that much older? Does it change me that much? I just thought it was kind of BS on jackson holes part...
 
That just means you shouldn't ski at Jackson hole. there are better mountains out there, give them your money instead.
 
take your boot heaters and a carbattery and go melt all the snow in Jackson Hole. Then they have to open the next day.
