I'm so stoked on this ski. Thank you [tag=225826]@VISHNU[/tag] for listening to my endless requests on here for a longer wet, it's not 200 cm like I was asking for but we are getting closer!!

they killed it with the graphics to the point i don’t know why ones to spend my money on

they're all sick but the river topsheet is imo the obvious choice, it's the wettest

I want to use these so bad for the style points but I feel like they will be a lot harder to butter and press cus I’m only 5 8 and 160

1 69 for them shorty thots

If you’re at least 5’5 just get the 177s, they ski short cuz of rocker and are soft/lightweight already.

I don’t wish to be short, but man I envy that y’all shorter guys get to look steezy with long ass skis.

Just get the 177 wets? You could even go 183 if you wanted. Long skis look better

I ride the 183, I’m talking about potentially switching to the 189s

Same but for whatever reason it’s hard for me to do it sometimes... maybe I’m just getting lazy haha. That being said the past couple months it’s been really easy for me to butter and press the fuck out of my 183 wets with not a lot of effort

Your 183 wides are hard to butter sometimes but your wets are flexin good?

I’m sure you could go for the 189 wets if you wanted a lil extra stability and style points then.

I’ve heard the normal wets get a lot softer over time compared to other skis, so that’s prob what u have been experiencing in the passed couple months

what size would you get? cus if you get the 177 or even the 183 you'd probably be fine

long skis look cooler and go faster and if you disagree you're in the wrong thread

Stoked to finally try a set of these. Been on my bucket list of twigs to try.

need some help with sizing. im 5 11” 180lb, my current park ski is 180, tour ski 183, pow ski 186.

Should I play it safe with 183? Or will it feel short? Considering the 189 but im hesitant since it would be the longest ski I’ve been on.

whats your current park ski? One thing I would consider with the 189 wets is that they are still a center mounted ski, so there still won't be a ton of ski in front of the boot, and the swing weight will be low. So even though they will be longer than your 186 pow skis they will for sure ski shorter.

idk man if you're 180 lb and a strong skier the 189s will be no problem I think

Just sold my 180 bdogs a few days ago, they felt a little short last season. I ride my 186 118 black ops 80% of the season so the contrast between the two would kinda throw me off.

black ops are burly af from what I've heard, they will probably feel very different from any ski that vishnu makes. But if the 180 bdogs felt short go for the 189s 100%. If you're looking for something that is heavy and stable like the black ops but buttery and playful I'd go for some ON3Ps. Vishnus are very, very light.

Haha yea burly is a good word. You feel invincible with those things, like driving a tank.

im not looking for another charging ski that’s heavy and stable, def got that covered. Just want somthing a little less serious, and have some fun at lower speeds while the snow is shit. Or when I’ve got some friends around that arnt game to huck their meat off cliffs lol.

I know generally speaking a 189 park ski wouldn’t be recommended to someone my height. But I’ve heard these ski short for their length. Guess I’m just wondering how short? Does anyone know the effective edge length is for the 189? Probably not since they arnt out yet.. Maybe I could make a guess if someone knew the effective edge length of the 183? Do you think the 183 would feel shorter then the 180 bdog? Maybe the 189 will feel more like a 186?

Would butters/presses be more stable on a longer ski? This style of skiing is pretty new to me.. also don’t ride widths under 108 often. Only way to butter my black ops is when there is a good amount of snow haha.

Sorry for the long winded post, been pretty indecisive as you can see. I’ll think I’ll just end up going with your recommendation and getting the 189. Better too be to long then too short

Rode my 189s for the first time today. Such a sick ski, just as playful and buttery as my 183s but with a bit more of a platform to land on. The stability on switch landings is unreal, and the slightly larger turn radius is dope too, the ski feels smoother and less squirrely.

I detuned underfoot and after a couple runs did a slight detune on the rest of the ski, seemed weird and catchy will sharp edges but nice and surfy after the detune.

Thank you [tag=225826]@VISHNU[/tag] for the long af park skis!!

Got some 189 wet +'s coming in soon, would you recommend a detune for them? Do you just rub/file the edge down a bit to make it more round?

I did a pretty mellow detune with a file on the whole ski, a little bit more underfoot. They felt a little bit grabby skiing before and it helps preserve the edge underfoot I definitely recommend it

Thanks for the advice bro. I'm newish to park skiing and I have homies who say to detune and I was hesitant. I do want that surfy feel though so I'm gonna give it a few test runs like you did then see how it feels! Hyped to get wet!

Weird question but what’s your height/ weight? Wondering if I should go + or normal next year in 189

I'm a total bean pole 6'2" (188cm) and 155 lbs but so are like half of the dudes on this site lol. What size mountain do you ski at? anything really small I would go with the regs wets but if you ski out west or at a big east coast resort with steep terrain I would go +
