today some some kid tried to convince me that a snowboarder jumped 180 doing a 720 and set a new world record. is this true? right now im calling it bullshit.

jump was 130 and he went 187... i think he tried a 7 and broke his wrist or arm

that plato is massive, i wanna see how long the landing was and how much he over shot by.. if a snowboarder can get speed for that a skier could EASILY

i don't think he overshot the jump.... i'm pretty sure the landing was way too long to do that, but he went bigger than he needed

he landed a 180 and a 360 that was 187 feet, he then tried a 720 and the cinematographer who was filming said it was the worst fall hed ever seen and was wondering how he was still alive.

the landing was over 500ft long. it was built so that you could go as big as you wanted in a safe manner without worry of coming up short or overshooting. It was a very inteligent setup for a monster jump. Wilson's 200ft jump had death written all over it...absolutly no margin for error. very stupid if you ask me. You could over 200ft on Mad's jump and still have 300 + feet on landing left.

yeah but ski jumping is an entirely different thing. they aren't very high and they are going consistently down hill, theres no problem with overshooting or knuckling, and they spend every day learning how to extend straight airs further and further, unlike freeskiing where we focus on height and spins etc more than distance

pretty sick....pep went huge in 1242 and pollard definitely went that big when he overshot chads on that 180

right, and just to get it, the record in that discipline is around 230 metres, i guess that are around 700 ft
