we need one, somehow regulated. Either that or kids should stop posting about how their parents suck because they won't let them buy this new X-box game or how their girlfriend of 2 weeks broke up with them even though they loved them.

when we sign up for NS, do we provide info on our birthday? if so, that would be one method. and to further regulate it, they could institute a rule stating you need to be a member for 6 months in order to gain entry into the forum, which would discourage people from creating another account to gain entry.

i don't really care either way for this forum...but these would be a couple solutions for sure.

I still don't think your solutions are feasable Joel, but a better solution you brought up would be a cult with entry based on how long you've been on the site. Say, 2 or 3 years and up. It would be simple to regulate and get the job done. People can lie about their birthdate, not about when they joined the site.

The whole, admittance by time on site also eliminates another problem with having an 18+ forum. Some of the smartest kids on this site are below 18 (EC-Andrew anyone?) and some of the dumbest people on this site have been over 18. It also eliminates joke aliases from gaining access and spamming.

Not that I have any real desire for the forum, because I'm in the right cults and that gets the job done for me, but these are just my thoughts.

A majority of the kids on ns are under 18, but you could make a cult for just chill kids, or kids that arent just plain dumb.

so many cults die though, there was a cult started a little while back for people here over a year I believe and it was great for maybe a week then it died. Having a cult for people who have been here for over a certain amount of time would be an awesome idea but I dunno if it would stay alive. On the other hand it would be really cool if there was just another forum that unlocked after you were here for a certain amount of time.

when i first joined, i was like 9500ish, and i didnt post anything, i thought all of my ideas were stupid, and no one would think that they were relevent, so i would search the forum, by looking at all the posts, not using the search bar, but after a while i started posting, but there are many people who's first post is about a soundtrack. I dont want to sound like i was bragging, but i think i was a good noob
