178 SFB too short?

So I recently bought a pair of 178 SFBs and think they may be to short for me. I'm 5'10" and 145lbs. Going to be using them as my daily driver in the Banff area, all mountain, pow days as well as trees.

Can't really send them back now, so I guess I'm just torturing myself, but I suppose I wanted to see if anyone has a similar build to me and has 178s that have served them well.

yeah i definitely made that mistake before with the newer bacons. i am 6' 170 and ordered the 179, damn was i bummed when they actually arrived. they measured a few cm shorter than any of my older skis(Lines included) that were 172-176cm which made no sense. I mounted them because i didnt really have any other options, it took me a little bit to get used to them but once i did, they were so much fun everywhere even at high speeds.

Op at 145lbs they will be ideal. You would not really benefit going up to the next size as because you are so light you won't need a big ski to help you float. The shorter length will be lighter an easier to throw around so as a all mnt ski they should be ideal.

I used those all last season with no big problems until I started hitting bigger jumps and whatnot, if you mount them at around -2 they will be great. For reference I am 5'10" and 200lbs

Ah man iv done the exact same thing as you, im the same height and same weight and I reckon with our weight we will be fine, you are not alone dude!!!! :)
