170 too big?

hi,

im probably getting 09 surface WL's, and im in between 5'5" and 5'6" and i was wondering what would be the best size. i geuss i would have to get 170's, but i was wondering if that was too big? i just wanted your opinions before i bought them. thanks

you should be fine, i was a scrawny youngin' and rode a pair of 183s so you should be all good

i wouldnt say that im a super strong skier, but im not a wimp.

im the same hight and had 171's last season, i do wish i had some 166's but it worked out.

im 5 10-11 and will be skiing 171 next year. theyll be a little small on me but its all good i think your hight would be more ideal for them.

It's personal preference, but i'd say its perfect. I ski a 170 right now and im 6ft, getting new skis though, around 182.

Nah - they will be fine. I'm 5'8" and ride the WL in a 180.

i'll think you'll be fine man, i mean you could go shorter if you want more of a quick ski, but the length adds stability if you're looking for that. i'd say your perfect ski would be like a 167-168 so its close enough.

id say you're a wee bit short, i think your more, 165-168.
but 170 is definately fine

and if i got them in a 170, since they may a little long, would they be harder to throw around in the park on spins and stuff?
