im gonna keep this as sweet and short as possible.
had about 170 in there 2 weeks ago, and then i left for a mount hood camp for a week. spent bout 150. so i get home safe, relax for a day or 2 and happened to watch eagle eye. the kid from eagle eye finds 17000 in his bank accnt out of nowhere. (you know how we all have those little "man i wish that happened to me" moments, well i had one). The day after that- i go to check out my account balances at the bank: $17 556.76 !!! i was straight shitting all over the bank out of happiness and surprise, but trying to be subtle because i was really scared at the same time (scared because where the fucked does 17gs come from over night). so a new ipod, a shit load of cloths, about $600 worth of cash withdrawls, and some xbox games, and small shit immedialtely got bought that day. 2 days later while im at my friend i get a very "WE NEED TO TALK" like message from mumzy. call her up, apparently she "accidently" stored her 18 000 in my bank account temporaily, and i have to pay her back for everything (ya ok.....) tonight i saw her for the first time and gave her most of it back online, and she tried to tell me i was unethical and untrustworthy and all ths BS since i didnt tell a single person about my discovery, and since i went on a shopping spree. sall good now though. yep its a cool story hansel i know

k its cuz i hardly ever use my account, and mine is connected to hers so we can transfer money easily. since she has like 5 accounts, she saw mine and since it had no transaction for like 2 months she thought it was just a dead account and thought it would be fine to store our bill payment and house mortgage money in.
so it was THAT stupid of her

thats awesome all of a sudden you got 17 grand in your bank account, but dude couldn't you reason that that okay the bank or you mom is gonna realize that they really fucked up and catch it and correct it even if you didn't say anything. pretty stupid to go spend money that any logical thinking person would is not theirs and gonna be taken away.
 
im 16. i dunno about you, but i dont know that many 16 year olds that would have made logical decisions in this scenario.
shopping spree was totally logical to me.

hahahaha, you've obviously have never had to make decesions about managing moneey. i'm guessing never a real job either. maybe its just me but i think even a 9 year old would be like whoa i apparently have money i don't have, something fucks up i better find out whats wrong other than lets go by a gillion tootsie rolls.

i already said: it was because she thought it was one of her accounts. i guess when you look at that stuff online, instead of saying for example "daniels saving account" and "angelas saving account", they just come up as numbers. so she saw an account, that was labled like 23897456983745 and thought she could store it there.
 
Oh yeah, I guess I can see that happening online if she's managing your account too. I was picturing her at the bank depositing a check for 18 grand into an account under the wrong name.

Sounds like your mom might be using your bank account to shelter income to avoid taxes... commonly used tactic. You should probably blackmail her and tell her you're going to the IRS if she makes you pay her back for that shit. Then go get more xbox games. It's what Jesus would do.

my rule of thumb is if random money appears, it's probably gonna get taken out later, so if you spend it you have to reimburse it
i bought a mac mini from apple and somehow instead of getting charged 700 bucks 700 appeared in my account so i spent 500 of it and then apple took all 1400 so i was fucked

If his mom is a "corporation" it's completely legit, she probably just "paid" him as an "employee" of the "corporation". If anything your mom should not be pissed you spent a couple hundred bucks, because you would have saved her a couple thousand in income taxes.
