my friend who is like around 5'4" prob like 120lbs just demoed both in like 2 feet of fresh and he said the 169's were way too short and 179's were still short but alot better/stable feeling. He is now buying 179's
the real question is 179 or 189 depending on your skiing abilities.

go 179, 189 would be pretty hard for you to handle probably.

179 measures to about 184 in reality

179s my man. 189s would be way too much ski to lug around, especially if you ski trees of any kind.

Norwegian magazine measured the 189 to be 200, a massive 11cm longer. I would go with the 179
