165 ARV or 169 vicious?

don't just say which one... please tell me why is should get one over the other.

tell us your weight, you ski ability and how agressive you are, then we will be able to make better judgement over which skis is better for you.

 
i am 5'4. i weigh close to 140. i am a very strong skier. i definately spend way under 25 of my time in the park. i like skiing steep and deep trees the best.

169 Vicious hands down. It'll be the best performer in all conditions, especially pow.

Also, based on one other idea above, if you ski mostly pow and steeps, you could consider the Gotama, but the Vicious is going to be the best all around ski for you.

it seems that you like riding mostly all mountain and away from the park, which is good, i congradulate you for that, but with that said, longer wouldnt be a bad thing at all. long pow skis are awsome. so you could go with somethin around 175 i think.

its also easier to make turns in pow with shorter skis - get the 169

I'm a 5'2, 125 pound, girl. I ski the SV in a 169, I say go for the 179 unless you ski a lot of super tight trees and/or like to make tiny turns (gasp!)

you can go for the longer arv if you are going to center mount them, but since you only ski the park 25% of the time...it would be better to get the 165 unless you ski pow most of the time. (longer ski, bigger surface area to float on)

as far as to which ski to get, i would say get whatever the cheapest, unless money is not a problem. i would suggest the arv if you ski in the trees more, vicious if you ski pow more. since you are a very strong skier, the vicious would be an awsome all mountain ski for you...just a little more challenging if you are in the glades.
