Meh... football (soccer) has been doing this for years... i recall something about a 9 year old Brazilian kid recruited by Man U.
 
thats wierd, colleges cant even contact you until your junior year. maybe thats just michigan rule or it doesnt matter because he's in middle school
 
Although they can't talk to him I believe they might be able to email and the coaches could talk to his parents. Just cause it's a verbal commitment doesn't mean he or USC can't back out. Good for him though.

i went to the same high school as Greg Olsen who plays for the Bears, his younger brother who is now a freshman in high school is supposed to be better than Greg, and when he was in 2nd grade, i shit u not he was getting looked at by virginia tech. a little crazy imo, but ive seen the kid play, and hes dirty, just needs to grow a bit more.

I could only see bad shit coming from this for this kid. His ego because of this coupled with his age is going to make it pretty lame for a lot of people around him... I dont see him playing for USC in 5 years time...

nevertheless, University of Spoiled Caucasians is just throwing up yet another hollywood move with this one... I'm still wondering where all the sanctions are here...

 
also while this is true, Man U has drafted many 9 year olds to their "RESERVES" the team where the youngers play until they are older, like lionel messi has been at Barcelona since he was 14 but didn't play for the actual team until he was like 19
