This is really sad - and not sure anyone has posted anything about it.

Happened on Sunday, in bounds of the ski area, but on a roped off area.... this kid was only 13, and could well have been a member on here. Vibes to family, friends and anyone who knew him - please remember that with the winter the US Mountains have had this year - the snow conditions are really dangerous... all this new snow that has recently fallen, has fallen on a super shitty snowpack foundation.

Be careful.... stay in bounds and on patrolled areas unless you know what your doing/backcountry prepared - just because it's in the resorts jurisdiction - doesn't necessarily mean it's safe.

i saw the break after the fact. crazy shit S.I.P. but the area was with looking at it a potential break zone. closed means closed.

Avalanches dont care who you are, how good you are at skiing or if you took an avy course. This shit is serious people, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do everything do stay safe on the mountain.

This easily could have been you or me. Think about the kids family and friends. Hes gone, and they will never be able to say "I love you" or "Hey we should chill tonight" Stay safe and dont test your luck.

SIP kid, you were far to young.
