1080's what happened?

Theres probably already been 1000 posts about this but what is with the 1080s graphics the past 2 years? I love the ski itself but i think saloman should get some simple graphics.just my opinion but i love the yellow and black ones.

 
the old graphics were so much better; over all most of the grahpics suck, but there are a few exceptions

Following up on Freezy's post, the 1080s up to '02 used injected foam. The spaceframe models are milled from foam that is cured in large sheets making each ski more consistent.

Candide's and CR's LAB skis from last year were milled wood cores instead. This is difficult to make consistent from ski to ski since no two trees are alike. Rumour has it that S LAB will be making a limited edition of these skis available to the public but they will be expensive. I'm not sure if this is a separate run from the CR and Candide Pro models...

 
God, I fuckin hate foam cores, I was about to get 1080s too, I didnt even know 1080s had a foam core!
