i have 181 1080's in the wrapper and i am considering exchanging them for pe 179. why are the salomon's more $$$? what is the consensus on which is a better ski. I am leaning for the PE right now....

your just going for the pe beacause everybody is buying them and people want to be cool

both skis are good...and they will both have their advantages. they are both very versatile skis. but the 1080's are noticably lighter and have more flex than the PE's making them good for park riding.. the PE's are also a good park ski but the design also makes them an efficient all mountain ski as well. keep in mind when looking at the Public enemies that they will be significantly longer since K2 measures them from the ride surface whereas 1080's are measured tip to tail. These are both nice ski's and I'm sure that you will be happy with either one...as for the difference in price...it has nothing to do with the quality of the ski, just the difference of manufacturers. I'd personally go with the Public Enemy just for their versatility and bullit proof design...so it's all down to personal preference...good luck man, I'm sure you'll be happy with either

PE's for sure

the girls in mammoth are like parking spaces - the good ones are already taken and the rest are handicapped -mammothpunks

you guys on the east have mountains yet?-CJ

wut do micheal jackson and mcdonalds have in common?

they both put 10 year old meat in 10 year old buns

i saw someone getting ready to hit a rail switch on pes and the tail gave out. I have never seen a pair of 1080s break, and my friend goes on rails alot and they are still in good condition. I am probably gonna buy them next year, i ahve troublemakers as of now

the 1080 and the PE both have similar dimensions but the Public enemy, being a little stiffer, would work better for all mountain

i ride PEs and my friends is on the 1080s, I feel my PEs are holding up to rails better ie less rounding off ther edges as quickly but mt friend has hit more rails than I have they both seems to be good skis, if you want light weight go with the 1080 if you want something cheaper and in my opinion equal get the PE

the magazine is called 'POWDER' cool! - my stupid non-skiing friend
