101 meter freedive without fins

Total relaxation is the key. And practicing a shitton around water.

I can only go t0 50ft and then i get freaked out since i dive a lake.

it took him 3 minutes to get to the bottom, i have timed it and held my breath diving for 3 minutes and 30 seconds. I'm assuming i would have made it to the bottom of that rope, looked up, freaked out and drowned.

you held your breath for 3:30 WITHOUT any physical exertion. you would use up the oxygen you inhaled much quick while swimming than just sitting still

wait, i may sound silly asking this but, at a certain depth you just sink regardless of how much oxygen you have retained in your body.

you retard? i said while diving. that means swimming with fins down and back. That diver was in free ascent for the three minutes it took for him to reach the bottom. come on man...

it took him two minutes to get to the bottom... just over two to come back up.

330 is fucking loong swimming though. ive done around 230 without fins.

You probably wouldve made it to the bottom blacked out.

You pretty much have to have nerves of steel to freedive that deep. You have to lower your heartrate and keep it low, freak out because its too dark, you get too cold, tired, or the pressure is too much and then youre done and most likely dead.

oh yeah, believe me, i know how crazy that is. the deepest i've been without air is in the 45-50' range and even at that depth one of the worst things you can do is look up because you want to freak out seeing 50 feet of water above your head. It's all just a matter of being comfortable with the depth you're at.
on a side note, being able to hold my breath for an unusually long time through some practice has it's benefits. you can really freak people out when they panic at 10 feet and you just drift down to 30 feet no problem and chill there for a minute or so.
