Hey I just got some ninthward leconte wich is 80mm width and I have 100m brake on my rossi120. What will happen if I ski them with my wide brakes ????Thanks for helping me !

with the brakes on the skis, when they're poking down take a metal pipe and bend them against the ski slightly in, that'll make it so that when you click your boot they go over the topsheet and eliminate catching while riding switch

Thanks guys for helping me ;) I will try to find some new brake it will probably be the best thing to do ... 80mm or 90 ???

80mm your skis are 80mm and your current brakes are 100mm so why would you buy ones that are still bigger than your skis and will drag when you carve.

to be honest, i ran 115mm brakes on my 86 waisted skis with out a problem, even carving switch they did not drag, before you spend money try them out. Unless its not your money then go crazy

all right first of all the width of your skis is typically wither the middle or thinnest point. so unless your skis are forward mounted their gonna be considerably fatter at the point where the brake goes. secondly those brakes go in slightly when they are up. needless to say these should work

my money :P i will try them with the 100mm brakes first than if I kill myself on a jump by landing switch I wil try to bend them a little bit and if its still doesnt work ... my wallet will be a bit lighter

thank you all for those tips ! ifyou know someone with thiner brakes tell me though !

I will do some switch carving than figure if i need to change them after :P but I saw a dude today that want to trade his old 80mm brake vs my new one ... if there is a probleme with my brakes I will accept the trade

i had some skis that the brakes stuck out too far from and when i put them on edge on ice the brake would hit and my edge would slide out, i just bent them in
