If Magnus supports them they must have something going for them other than just being "sustainable", but tbh I can't really see anything about them that makes them special

I would think about getting them if I lived in europe, there is no point in buying a sustainable ski and then shipping it across the ocean that defeats the purpose

Cargo ships are actually very ecological. I wouldn't be surprised if 1000 skis had this as an option. Air freight is on the other end of the spectrum.

They better start shipping skis in June then.

Lol Forster rocked the tight pants for multiple seasons like 2011 - 2014

OK what I meant was I didn't have enough money nor did I care what was style back then. Also didn't ski park back then.

Valid point for sure. There is a whole lot going into the question on what´s better in terms of sustainability. We´re actually doing a Life cycle analysis right now to figure out exactly what we should focus on first to get even better! Shipping is just a part of a products full environmental impact and we´re trying our best to get better on all fronts :)

This is just my input.

I read somewhere that you guys plan on releasing only red skis every year so that people don’t feel pressure/temptation to buy new skis when they don’t need to.

I believe that is a great idea, BUT

as cool as the red skis are, I don’t think they will be everyone’s taste / people will get sick of the color eventually.

I think offering color options each season of both a set of red skis AND black skis would help this problem immensely.

Plain black skis always look awesome, and if the worry is that people won’t be able to identify 1000 skis if they’re not red, could easily be fixed if you just added a simple “1000 skis” text in something simple like white Helvetica right above the toe piece.

Plus I don’t know any ski companies that are actually selling a whole black ski with no graphics, so people actually might still be able to identify an all black ski as an 1000 skis model.

That’s just my opinion. I do like the type of red you guys have chosen, but I know personally I wouldn’t enjoy the color over too many seasons, and I have heard other people say they wished there were plain black skis on the market.

I like what you guys are doing though, props.

I do love cool topsheets and the red looked really lame on the website. That being said, the all red looks pretty dope on snow.

That’s awesome! Their stuff looks good, would definitely buy if they had made a lil bit longer lengths

If the 1000 skis corporate team chose to be vegan, Im sure that might help. Perhaps overseas recipients of the 1000 skis can be vegan for 1 month to offset the carbon emissions of freight. Also, 1k skis, look into "Climate Neutral" its a good way to offset yer emissions and easy to calculate.
