News has it that Bender is eyeing up a 100 foot drop, no gap, just a super steep trany. (Biking) Now the man can barely land a 50 foot drop, and now he wants to attept a 100 foot drop, I seriously think he might die if he tries this.

Simple physics 100ft= approximately 30 meters

30=(1/2)(9.8)t^2

6=t^2

t= about 2.44

(2.44)(9.8)

24 m/s = about 53 MPH

He will be going 53 MPH when he lands hes fucked

He can pull it off. Plus don't trash Bender because he's done more for this sport than you can even begin to imagine, by himself. You know what that means? He had to learn how to do drops, pick himself up, recover and send it again without anyone there pushing him or encouraging him. He's an amazing rider and look at the Rampage; without Bender that would have never even taken place.

He did do the physics right, but isn't that assuming he is being dropped from that height. He already has some initial velocity (very slow though) to approach the drop. And it's unlikely to assume that he will be dropped straight down.

But vury good none the less.
 
dude he would be going even faster. you very accurately figured out how fast he would be going if he were dropped from rest 100ft straight down. however he would be moving off the cliff with a constant horizontal velocity (which we dont know) and the verticle velocity which you figured out. then you would take the final vertical velocity and the constant horizontal velocity and use the equation (if V=final velocity, Vx=horizontal velocity, Vy= vertical velocity)

V^2=Vx^2+Vy^2

although the physics is right you have to remember that he is dropping onto a down hill/ its not like hes goig 53 miles/hour onto flat ground

its still gona be crazy but keep that in mind/ technically it is possible if he lands on a transition that matchs the height of his jump

There is probably a 1 in 100 chance of landing it, he can barely stick 40 footers, tyler klassen would be much more likely to land it
 
Bender actually never got the jaw drop...he tried it like 5 times and ate it everytime, so I have no idea why he would try a 100 footer.
 
look guys, it doesnt matter who hits this drop, its nearly impossible to land, physics doesnt choose who it applies to, it applies to everyone. the odds are just not in his favour
 
im not even sure if bender even knows how to ride a bike more than 20 feet...
