10 Dead at Dark Knight Rises Premiere in Denver

I live about 10 minutes away from the theater and have a friend that was in the theater when the shooting started. He says he was tear gassed and then hid under his seat the when the two guys started shooting. I can update with details as he tells me more.
 
I had friends there and was supposed to go... so glad i didnt.

can i just say what the fuck is wrong with people, people cant even take their family to a movie anymore.

 
According to the scanner they are now clearing the entire Aurora mall, which isn't gigantic but is till a pretty big mall.
 
Checked my friend that lives in Aurora, nothing on her FB. assuming she is good.

some people are seriously so fucked up. unloading on people you have never met.this guy will probably never see a jail cell because he is probably mentally unstable or whatever the fuck they say. he probably heard some voices.

fuck this guy. hope he gets tortured everyday for the rest of his life.

I'd rather see a livelong sentence in prison where he will be raped in the ass everyday by big black Bubba and his friends.

3 month old at the hospital. Why why why was there a 3 month old at a extremely violent pg-13 midnight premier.
 
Probably couldn't get a baby-sitter, but if you plug the ears it doesn't really matter, it will probably just sleep in the mothers arms.

It's not like the kid was watching and getting anything in.

A 6 year old watching is worse because he can take it all in.
 
Not going to argue anymore after this but, not getting a baby sitter is no where near a good enough excuse to drag your 3 month old to a midnight showing no matter what movie it is.

You're wrong and right, but I know you won't argue cause you said you wont.

The time has no effect, nor does not getting a baby sitter since at 3 months, it's likely the baby is still wanting to nurse entirely sporadically and may be every hour or ever 2 or 3, so it's better to bring the baby with you wherever you go. Time... well babies don't sleep 8 hours straight, the go an hour or two and then need to be fed, and it's likely the baby sleeps better in the moms arms anyway.

Should a parent with a new born go to a theater? The only reason not to is 1) it can damage the hearing if too loud, but they make baby ear muffs so this can be easily rectified. 2) the other patrons.

My guess is that the mom was probably sitting right next to the exit which is probably why she/the baby was shot.

Fuck that. Pieces of shit like this don't deserve to live. It's just a waste of fucking money to keep them alive and in prison. They don't deserve to breath the same air as us. If every time something like this happened the cops put a bullet in the murderer, no one would even ask questions because he got what he deserved
 
Watching the BBC now. They're saying the police caught the guy in a car park and and they've identified him as James something. Crazy to think one person can cause so much havoc. Bastard deserves to go to prison for the rest of his life.

Quite shocking that someone would go to all the trouble to shoot random people that are in a showing of one of the biggest films to be released so far this year.
