10/11 Armada Halo vs. 11/12 Armada Halo

Hey NS,

I want to pick up a pair of Armada Halos because I have done some research and found they are pretty much a great all around ski. I saw the graphic last year on the Armada Halo and fell in love, the whole lightstream of different colours and cool stuff like that. I saw this years Halo and just am not feeling the graphic, it's brown and boxy and I don't really like it.

So really I want to know if there are any major changes on the skis from last year and this year because I would really like to get the 10/11 but if the 11/12 is THAT much better I'll get those ones.

Also I'm not really interested in hearing any other ideas for skis for me because I really think I've done enough research to find that the Halo would be good for me. But if needed to suggest skis I'm:

- 6ft 1"

- 205 lbs.

- Not spending all my time in the park but would like to find a good ski to help me progress this year.

- Matching up with 2012 Salomon SPK Pro

- Hopefully matching up with 2012 Marker Griffon (Or what would you suggest)

- Just need a good ski for the park and to have fun on the hill, I have skis for powder.

Thanks alot NS!

Couldn't agree with you more, this year's Halo looks so much worse than last years. There is no changes to the ski from last year to this one.

Are you dead set on the Halo? The Alpha is the exact same ski except with a slightly stiffer flex and a race base. Personally, I think the graphics on the Alpha 1 are incredible this year.

With that being said, just look in sell/trade and make a thread in WTB and I am betting you'll be able to find a pair of lightly used Halos from last year.

thanks alot dude! Ill be sure the check out the Alpha 1's. i really love the Halos graphic from last year!

Im pretty dissapointed in the grafics too. I loved the grafics armada had last year but this year they went way downhill. I thought my ar7s were so nice looking and when i saw the new musterd yellow ones i was very dissapointed. Overal i think the grafichs took a step down this year for armada
