09 Atomic pimps

my godfather who i havent seen/spoken to in years, sent me a pair of 09 pimps (183)in the mail as a present. i was pretty fucking surprised, but i dont know anything about the ski, i read some reviews but i was wondering if anyones ridden on them?(id be using them mostly in the park)
 
dude those skis are so amazingly cool. you are one lucky bastard. theyre like all mountain skis and theyre good in the pow and the park dont worry
 
depends on what your using them for. personally if it was me. if they were for mostly park id mount them center. and if your going to use them for everything which i suggest becasue there such a dope ski for that purpose id got two or three back
 
ill be using them 70% in the park and the rest of the time cuising around and i wont be hitting much powder being on the eastcoast, go center then?
 
They aren't really a park ski.....so no, don't mount them center.

If you only plan on skiing them in the park I'd sell them and buy park skis.
 
well i have 2 park skis, and ive never had a wide ski before, i was thinking of using them more in the air, what u think?
 
I'm looking for a new pair of ski... I had Line Anthem last year but they were stolen... I'm riding a bit everywhere, park, groomed, trees, sometimes pow... and I was wondering something about this ski... is the waist (103 mm) too wide for what I would like to do ?
 
okok good then... I was also thinking about Armada ARV... but it seems they are quite soft... and I dont want a ski that is too soft...but some people say they are all mountain ski..... what do you think ? And to what would you compare the flex of the Pimps ?
 
ya i live in montreal and we had a record snow fall last year and i wasnt have a very good time skiing with my invaders, and im hoping we get the winter as last season, so where exactly should i mount them if lets say im using them for all mtn. ive only ever had my skis mounted center
 
i was center mounted last year on my Anthems ; I liked it, but I think this year i'll would like to try more like +1 (if its possible) if not maybe+2 ?? for a all mountain ski ?
 
Anthems are symmetrical, anywhere but center is retarded. I love my anthems, very fun skis.

For the Pimps: where is recommended at? ie, how far back from true center is it?
 
if you are just skiing them for all mountain, mount them like 2 cm back from center. i would go full center but thats cuz i ski all park and only pow/all mountain when I get up to VT
 
how will putting them at -2 affect landing? will i notice much of a difference from what im usually used to at true?
 
Probably not.

I ski Anthems at true of course

and I skied fujatives at like -4 cause the shop fucked em up and both were good, Anthems were a little better but no big deal. Keep in mind that I don't ski a ton of park though, just like 3's and shit.

I ski my Bacons at like -2 and they are absolutely fine switch, no problems at all.

Mount like 6cm back i would suggest.. that would be good for all around skiing. even as close as 3 cm from centre would be good too.

Either way i'd just be happy you got them...
