09 Armada JJs

I'm looking at getting a demo pair cheap at the end of this season and I was wondering if anyone has them, and if so what they thought of them. I know they have a crazy shape but does it pay off?

yeah me and a friend talked to a guy who works in a shop and he said to call in the spring when they get their demos in. I'll be pumped if i can get a pair.

WTF HE TOOK THEM ON RAILS?!?!1?!1 haha jk

i just picked some 175 2010 JJ demos up, ridin once, from evo gear for $550 (griffon binders included) and skied them first day in some great pow. Im 5 5 so they were an okay height but they skied amazing. went up and built a jump after skiing amazing in pow for a while and threw some backflips of the jump, the JJs rocked it. after the powder started to get a little heavy we went into the park were all i did was hit jumps cause i love my JJ's too much to hit rails. if there is one thing i have to say about this, its that they RIP ON GROOMERS, and crud. they were OK in the park but theyre obviously not meant for it. pretty light and flexy too, but then again my last skis were salomon suspects so its not much of a comparison.

there ya go!

dude EVO gear is selling some 185 this year demos right now. bindings included, and theyve been skied like 1 or 2 times

Thanks I'l check that out. WOrd on the street is I could get em from the shop for 300, but I dunno how legit it is. If they have a pair from beaver creek or something they might never have gone out which would be godly

I have a pair of '08s in a 185. Same ski just different graphics. They're so much fun in the pow and pretty good all over the mountain. You won't be disappointed.

buy them and dont look back. just used mine over the weekend in some fresh pow in vt. absolutely insane. even at the end of the day when everything was a mess they were still amazing. very solid and stable. like others have said they are not really a park ski but i have no problems spinning them and i am not the greatest park skier. these were my first fat skis so it took about a run or two to get used to them on the groomers. after that they ripped though.

the only bad thing is that people will look to steal them. i went in for lunch in the summit lodge and didnt think to lock mine up and i came outside and the skis were not how i left them. i think someone tried to clip in really quick and ski off with them but the boot size wasnt the same. i learned my lesson and will lock them up from now on.

So for the one who read my review, i can't update it now because im in salt lake city. So when i get back ill post a review from the west condition, in real snow .... But what i can say for now is: wow they just amazing, i ski in all condition and they killed anywhere, but in mogul is pretty bad. So my other review will be up by monday.

Cool beans. They'll probably be sold out at the shops I'm looking at cause I can't go there in person and they'll only ship them to me if they don't sell. I'm praying for there to be one pair left

Call evo gears seattle store and ask them for the armada JJ 185 demo and then ask if theyll sell them to you. thats how i got mine

mine were 550 and then tax but i live right next to them so no shipping. the 185 pair was 750 tax and shipping included i believe but not sure
