'09 Armada arv or '09 line chronic?

Coming from 09 chronics last year, i switched to the AR6 this year. i didn't like the way the lines rode. it's a personal preference, i beat the crap out of my lines and they help up ok. I also like a little softer ski, so i went with the AR6. I felt like i was waxing the chronics every 2-3 weeks. only skiied last years AR6 for 1/2 a day and loved them. so this year i made the switch. You'll be happy with either ski. We dont have any snow, so i have no idea how this are going to compaire.

Hope that helps.

i have the exact same dilemma, which is why i originally joined ns. many people i talked to recomended the chronics but from what i understand they are a fairly stiff ski that can go all over the mountain, they also have a pop very well and won't wash out on you.
i've never gotten a chance to ride either though so i'm sorry i cant really give you a first hand review.

thank you, there both sick skis but i saw some reviews and they said that the chronic was for park skiers who wanted to do a lot of park and some all mountain and the arv's are the opposite

I have the 07 Chronics and as long as the new ones aren't that different from mine I would recommend them. The Chronic is a fantastic ski, it's not super fat underneath which is great for carving some groomers and pretty much killing it all mountain, but it also holds it's own in the park, especially on jumps. The ski is pretty stiff but has a lot of pop and gives a lot of room for error. Countless times i've landed backdeck and these skis have saved me from sliding out. Unfortunately they don't allow for the best of butters (though still quite possible if you know what you are doing) and such tricks due to their stiffness, but this is an easy sacrifice for me since the stiffness also helps reduce speed chatter. Only real complaint is the lack of symmetrical flex, though I recently center-mounted mine and now they ski switch fine. As for the ARV, I have never tried this exact ski. I have several friends who ride Armada and they both say great things. One of them even races on a pair of 08 AR6s and loves 'em. The ARV is for sure and a good all-mountain/park ski however is would question the little extra flex they have over the Chronics. But no matter what i'm pretty sure you couldn't go to wrong with either. However is I make another suggestion, get a pair of Amplid Antidogmas. I know several people who ride these and they all shred them all mountain and park. The ski seems to have the perfect combination of flex and stiffness and to top it off it's a true twin.
