I'm between the two for my pow ski

I ski PC, Alta, maybe Brighton

I ski park alot but won't use these for park

I skiied on Scratch BC's last year for pow

I want something that slays deep pow but is still easy enough to manage cliffs and booters

I'm 5"11 / 165

which ones??

JJ's for sure man. i'm sure dropping cliffs would be hella fun on ARG's but JJ's would better suit you, and where you ski (except alta) and i think they will handle alot better than the ARG's on bc booters.

I'm leaning towards JJ's this year too

Kinda depends how large you like to go. ARGs definitely don't sink like other skis. Keep that in mind when going 20ft+.

I got a buddy who went directly into ARGs from Scratch BCs. He actually bought the ARGs from underneath my feet on a pow day. He's never looked back. JJ is more versatile, but you live in Pow country - Utah. ARG is my guess for soft and deep snow.

Dude I own args....and they absolutely slay the pow. i would highly reccomend getting them, but only to slay powder/crud. Args on the hardpack are a total joke. On booters they can be somewhat sketchy also, just because of the reverse sidecut business. Once you get used to the reverse sidecut its fine...but it is still kinda sketchy when trying to carve off of a lip, especially switch. I love my args because of the pow/stomp factor...they are the funnest ski i have ever skied in pow, but i am considering selling and going for the JJ's this year because they seem much more versatile. If we get dumped on and have tons of pow days tho...you can't go wrong with the arg. they are creamin-jeans good brotha!

to add...i never took my args to pc. if you plan on using the fatties there definately go for the jj. you can't go wrong with either one tho...compared to your scratches you will be in heaven in pow eh

I spent more time on my ARGs than any other ski this season. Granted we had a ton of snow, but my current JJs never saw a day after it snowed enough for my ARGs - basically past November.

such a hard decision!!!

i wouldn't use ARG's in park, only pow

but i want something that will be ok if it doesnt snow a toonnnn

how much of a difference will the JJ's make compared to the ARG's on pow days?

I have skied for 5 years, I can ski everything in-resort, I'd say I'm experienced but still young I guess

alright well i would definatily get the JJ's then.

as i said before i'll will be getting JJ's next season, probably ARG's too if i can afford it to, but if i had the choice of only one, it would definatly be the JJ's. and, not that 5 years expierence isn't alot, i think a more traditional ski (not that the JJ's are traditional, but more so than the ARG) would suit you better. I've been skiing for 17 years and i still think the ARG will take a few solid days to get used to it.

Arg's look unreal but unless I lived at Mount Baker and owned a sled I would always put them behind JJ's. Also totally agree with AR6 Aussie, I guess even for real experienced skiers they take some getting used to.

i love super fat skis so i would go ARG but either is a good choice. After watching believe and seeing tanner slay on the ARG i have wanted a pair
