'08 vs '09 invaders

Does anybody know if they changed the invaders from the 07/08 model to the 08/09? I'm probably going to buy some and didn't know if the new ones were worth $80 more.
 
the only difrance is the 4D fibercap

I personaly love my 08 invaders

there like the exact same but i think last years look alot better to

and the 4D fibercap really does nothing.

save yourself the extra 80 bucks and get yourself a line shit and a hat and stuff thats what i did and im stoked!
 
my friend has the 08-09 invaders and i have the 07-08 invaders. i think the bases on the new invaders seem softer than on the older model because his bases have gotten so much less use and twice the amount of damage. they are just scratches from rocks they seem like indents in the bases from just landing on rails and such. maybe its cause they used a clear base material verses a sold color one? i have no idea just what i think because even just feeling the bases it seems like his are softer and more rubbery if that makes sense?
 
Yeah I didn't think it was worth the extra $80. Bindings'll hardly cost much more than that anyway..
 
Mmkay I'd like an opinion on this too, I'm not sure if I should go with 171's or 161's. I'm 5'6" 135, my other skis are 166 chronics.

and why should I change my icon?
 
171 for sure

they are center mounted so you wont feel a big difference between 166 and 171

and really it isnt a huge difference anyways

5cm is tiny
 
well invaders are measured after press so they're a bit longer than your average 171, my 171's are exactly the same height as my 175 tnk's. so i'm assuming the 161's will be around 165. but then again they're super soft so you might want to go with a longer ski.
 
the 171 is the only size that measures long, everything else is pretty spot on. and go with the 171. that ski should not even come in a 151 or 161.
