08-09 Kids Worst Ever

I've been a member since January 2006 and honestly I think I've outgrown NS. I joined when I was 14 and now I am 16.

I use to read all of the threads on SG and NSG and post in almost all of them. I was a younger kid on NS and I found what highschool and college kids talked about was really interesting. But now, even though I am only 16, I still feel like I'm talking to younger kids. The quality of posts and threads have gone down tremendously, or maybe it just seems that way. I'm sick of "is my outerwear XXXL enough" and "is wallisch going to be in the x games???". I still love skiing and talking about it, but I'm sick of all the gossip crap and hearing the same "how do you pretzel" over and over again. And also in NSG its the same "underground hip hop is good" crap that I hear over and over again. I admit when I was younger I would post stupid shit too, like the infamous "boning a girl while dancing" thread that NS has mostly forgot, or forgot that its me (thank god).

I do enjoy a lot of NS, thats why I'm on at least for a few minutes everyday. Legit skiing discussion, ski edits, gear talk, my home mountain cult, and good NSG threads are still enjoyable but a lot of the spark I got from NS when I was younger has been lost.

I'm guna go check out TGR

 
joined in april of 05 but didn't really know about the threads until 06..therefore must have missed all of this hate

YES! i agree totally.

while i dont know the specifics of why the karma system was even introduced to the site, i have always disliked it. it leads to shit like that, and people who measure their self-worth based on internet popluarity take too much stock in an arbitrary system of ranking your website usefullness.

i'm sure there are reasons it is good for ns, which is why i dont usually bitch about it, but i hate those +++++KARMA IF YOU... threads. they should be deleted immediately.
 
dude, seeing that post reminded me of you getting interviewed on NS Radio by Bishop (i think) and talking about some ridiculous back injury you had or something.

Word, minus checking out tgr, cause I'm sure I'll get sucked in.

All SG is, is just a bunch of kids gossiping and shit, it's laughable. I rarely ever even go in there anymore. NSG can be funny, gear talk is sometimes good, sometimes not. B/S/T is pretty dope though. My regionals are dank and ladies men is good.
 
Yes! Thank you for reminding me. I was gunna post that in the Ideas for Made thread but I blanked out all the sudden as I was about to post it and couldn't remember exactly what it was. I hope to Jah that it makes it onto MTV...

but on a more serious note, the only thing that I don't really visit that much anymore because of the rediculousness and immaturity of it is NSG and SG. Everything else on the site is still good, if not better. 420 Cult and the Ladies Men hold it down the hardest though.
 
I joined back in 2003 and i was super young, about 8 or 9 years old. A older buddy told me to make an account and he ended up just making one for me. I probably went on ns once a week but never logged in. Until 2008 i started logging in and i found the forums.
I have something like 200 posts now and i think im slowing down. I don't come here as much anymore maybe once every 5 days. I guess school and skiing got in the way. That's a good thing though. I'm not with the epic threads cause i was rarely here, or noobs posting. I still see all these outerwear threads though. I don't post in them i just think there funny.
 
ive been a member since 04. but my memory is so bad that i dont remember any of the things you guys are saying lol.
 
NS today is far greater than any NS of past. Sure people may say before 01 NS was in its prime. Sporks, aliens, etc...But today NS is actually a reputable source of freeskiing news. Back in the day you had to sift through the forums to find out info that was not guaranteed to be factual. The ammount of content, news, reviews, interviews, blogs, videos and photos, make this the greatest freeskiing website...ever.

Sure there may be some immature and annoying members contributing in the forums from time to time, that has always been the case and will always be, but the mods do a great job of filtering the garbage. Cheers to NS!
 
if you are so young, how do you know about doug? do they re-run that or is it still on? that show was on when i was young!

oh my god you are a genius. I'm the MADE kid, and that's the perfect idea. The whole thing culminates at our Winter Formal dance, in January and a "boning a girl while dancing" reference is definitely in order. Either that, or I just bone her while dancing and somehow get her to say "he boned me while dancing!"

on a side note, I'm too lazy to go to my thread, but i've got a date this saturday. your prayers to jah will her answered!
 
i had another account 2 yrs ago, then i didnt go on for a while. and when i tryed to get it back, it sent my pass to some email that i dont recall. so i had to make a new one. and i dont think its bad. just the ones that make an account for a day so they can spam, just cuz there parents dont love them anymore. but thats the reason for IP bannnn. so bottom line, theres always been those kids.
 
joined pretty recently hopefully i'm not as annoying as alot of kids on here but i do like this sight a lot and i'll be posting and lurking ns for a while to come
