Hey Guys, I wasn't around the maritimes last season... I was off skiing in Europe. Thought we should share photos from the season though. I'm curious to see what happened in the maritimes and how the hills looked in 07/08. Anywhere, here are some of my shots from the season:

Where I lived, Laax, Switzerland:

Of course we shredded pow too when we had the chance. It was sick in January but it didn't snow once in February. Then it started dumping again in March. This was in late Jan on one of my favourite parts of the mountain. The photog is pointing up hill so it looks pretty flat here.

This is at the bottom of Laax Dorf by the tram and gondola stations. This is where we drank Calanda in ski boots.

I spent about 3 weeks of July skiing in Whistler with newschoolers. I ran into Jeff J, Matt, Davis (I think?), and Emberly at the top of Horsteman. I’m pretty sure it was this day:

Well, that's basically my season. Next year, I'm probably going to be skiing in Asia. Japan mostly, with some Korea and possibly the Himilayas if I can get some gear while I'm in India.

I was living in Corner Brook Newfoundland this season, and mostly skiing at Marble Mountain. It was my first season living away from home, and I didn't have a vehicle which meant some interesting transportation situations to and from Marble Mountain.

At home for Christmas vacation my brothers had a decent backyard setup on the go, so we did a lot of jibbing. My friend Alyre had gotten new Rossi Sprayers so we switched our skis around for the fun of it. Photo by Nat Baker (NattyB).

After Xmas, my family went to Maine to visit relatives and do some skiing. This is a hip in my (late) grandmother's driveway. Skiing by Nat Baker. Photo by me.

We went to a popular sliding area at a golf course in Blue Hill, Maine which is not really close to any ski hills. We built a jump there and skied around in the trees. For some reason it was one of my favourite days of the season. Skier: Edwin Baker. Photo: Will Baker (skip.e.i.).

We also visited Sunday River, Maine, but no photos were taken because rapid snow accumulation resulted in skiing becoming the first priority. We spent a short time at Mt. Abram and Shawnee Peak Maine as well, which were both fun places to ski.

After Christmas break of course I had to go back to school in Corner Brook, and with mounting anticipation I sped towards Marble Mountain.This is an unknown skier(if it's someone on here, please identify yourself) at Marble. January? February?

The weekend prior to this, I went to Crabbe with both my brothers and two friends. It turned out to be Crabbe's last day, and there is no photographic evidence because we were skiing too much to takepictures.

I forgot about this picture, but it's at Gros Morne National park in Newfoundland. With my Outdoor pursuits class at Sir Wilfred Grenfell College, I went on a winter camping trip which involved studying the snow pack. It was a really fun trip, even though I wasn't able to bring my skis. The snow had a thick ice crust anyway, as you can see from the glare on the surface, so skiing was out of the question anyway. We determined that any avalanches would be very unlikely, after careful study of our snowpits. Rutsch block and compression tests were deemed unnecessary.

Nice man, you were dipping all over the east. I almost went to Maine in late April but was low on money.
