hey who cares they are all from the same euro/asian companies anyway, dnot you all know that one company owns 3/4 of the skis pictured and that they hire huge design firms to do the graphics, wake up these companies build the same skis with different graphics and zero are made in the USA, they are fooling the buying commmunity to buy different looking skis with the same quality, hmmmmm is skiing dying but tryin to fake the fact that there is no money in our sport,

and our sport is not poor, have you heard of salomon? skiing,blading,snowboards,shoes,gear,international events and conventions, one of the most profitable companies in extreme sports/action sports

snowboarding companies are starting to design skis, and why you ask? because of money.
 
ha, good one, except for the fact that he wasn't refering to Line you noob. and yes, i'm sure he's heard of salomon ... take a second to think about what brands he's talking about, realize you made a mistake and then kick yourself, not too hard though.

Still calling BS...if your bro works for K2, how come you have Foils? Secondly, and this is from the K2 message boards, Seth himself said that K2 has been playing around with some "tweaked MadeN's" and I assume those are the reverse ones you speak of. But it is not realistic that K2 would put out two reverse camber skis when the market for such a ski is so, so, so small. Again, the reasoning behind having one ski to fill this niche, the Pontoon. The MadeN is K2's big mtn, do anything ski and I find it very hard to believe that they would change such a good thing. period.

nope they are reverse camber I saw a pair at Copper Mountain
 
I remember i saw some ads for them a couple of years ago, and yeah they pretty much make super fat ski boards, i thnk they only go to like 160 or something.
 
the shamans are 161s, the scouts are 143s, the nomads are 154s, and the pilgrims are 151s. the company is based out of evergreen, colorado.
 
yes and no. it said in their description in Backcountry's buyers guide that their idea behind it is that the lack of length is made up for by the fat-ness so that in theory you still have the surface area of a regular ski. and yes, theyre prodominatly made for touring. pretty light.

only thing wrong with em to me, is that if you dont have a skin track, or you have to lay one down, they wouldnt go very straight and start to wander.

the idea's interesting, not sure if i dig it, but whatever. they said it might also appeal to snowboarders who dont want a split board, since their so light and small, you skin up on them, strap them to your back and board down. only problem is boots...
 
Depending on how much money I can get, Im either going to get the 05/06 or 06/07 seth vicious. I thought the 06 green was kind of ugly but if I really hate it that bad then that is why stickers were made, and to make sure that you know which skis are yours if somebody jacks them
