I have a stock Slayer for sale cheap, it's in good overall riding condition. I know this is the worst time to sell bikes but that means for you that it's th best time to buy one cheap! I need the money for cc bills, solstice gifts, vegas new years trip, and of course LP XXLs for solstice gift to myself. (Most people are really celibrating solstice rituals at christmas time but don't know it:tree wreath bells gifts etc etc none have anything to do with christianity)

I'll let it go for $900 Paypal Shipped in the US. It is worth more come spring but I can't wait. Pics to come momentarily...

Here's some specs:

Fox Vanilla 130RL

Fow RP3 Propedal

Shimano XT rear

Shimano LX front

RaceFace Evolve XC cranks stem and handlebars

Shimano Hydraulic disc brakes

Let me know if you want any other info.

i've never gotten around to riding the slayer. how does it ride? i have a couple of giants, but I've always liked the canadian-ness of Rocky Mountain. Any perks you found? steering? suspension? drivetrain? transmissioin?

It is pretty long feeling so it is super smooth downhill at speed and with the RP3 it pedals uphill like magic for its weight.

I'm about 5'11" so it wasn't a sharp cornering bike for me. In slow technical downhill I felt a little foward cuz I never cut the seatpost down like I planned, plus I rode it clipless and it was my first time doing this with a bike so that made for some funny situations like falls at no speed when I couldn't shift in time.

All in all I love this bike and it was the perfect balance of cross country and freeride for me. I just cannot afford to have it right now so I'm gonna have to start over with someting similar next spring honestly. I'mm 200lbs though so I may go with something that has a rear with a coil shock for bigger hits and maybe 6" rear travel like the new Slayers. But I'll definitely never buy a bike without a Fox shock with Propedal it is just such better dampening than anything I've experieced.

bump to a sick ride at a good price someone pick this up... its a toss up between Talas and Vanilla, depends on what you like and if how much you are willing to sit down and tune...
