i have the 03/04 1080s which r the exact same except for graphics with the 912s and i love them, no problems at all

 
Such a hate for Salomon. No one skis the same. Some 1080's work great for people such as my friend who went from racing to park and now skis the 04 1080's and just rips on them. From throwing his backflips to 720's and sick railslides, he isn't stopped by the salomon hate. For my other friend that skis k2 05 fujatives he doesnt have a prob. But guess whos the better skier. The one who skis the 1080's, The ski still remains in great shape and this guy throws down, no damage whatsoever.

I personally think they are a good ski... they just have a bad reputation because ive seen more ladies over 50 with pocket rockets then men under 20... some hate them due to the foam core they have breaking down but i never had that problem... and as for bindings if you tighten the toe wings all the way they work perfectly... they release when they need to without prereleasing at any point... enjoy...

1080 are good but i like fugative better
