04 Gotamas vs 05 Gotamas

there is a ski shop near hear selling used pairs of last years gotamas and the model from the year before that for $200-$250 canadian. i figure i NEED to jump on this deal since they are in pretty good condition. since both models are almost identical, is there anything uniq about one or the other that should motivate me to chose which to buy?

these are gonna be my powder skis. i'm almost 6ft and weight about 175. they are selling them at 183 i believe so that size should be good right? i have been skiing for 15 years.
 
the top sheets are different. that's about it. i think they changed the sidewalls too on the 05s b/c some of the 04s were cracking. i'm 5'4 and i ride the 168s. you should be good with the 183s.
 
They are dope.

difference is topsheet and wood sidewall.

believe that made the edges thinner as well...not a big deal.

wood sidewall cracked on some. It did on mine and I will be getting next years when they are made available.

sick skis though
 
they are sooo dope. until you snap them. there pussy ass. i snapped mine right above the toe piece. just from goin from a hill to flat. there soo fun just not that tough
 
No, the 05 had wood sidewalls too. It only changed for the current (06) ski. 04 and 05 are the same, that's a good deal.
