04/05 Skis

Due to budget constraints, I'm probably going to get some of last year's skis on eBay.

I've been looking mainly at the Karmas, the Skogens, and possibly the Pollards and Mike Nicks.

I ski East most of the time, and venture out to Utah a couple weeks a winter. I ride maybe 30-40% park and 60-70% all mountain. About 5'9" and 120lbs (shut the fuck up, I'm thin).

For Karmas, 169 or 177?

For Skogens/Mike Nicks, 176 obviously

For Pollards, 166 or 186?

Ive got some 04-05 Mad Trix for ya in a 162 if you want them. Hit me up with an e-mail ( Matt_leblanc10@hotmail.com)

The Mad Trix are only good all-mountain skis if you're a big guy. For you, they would be like skiing on 2x4's. Because you're so small, I would suggest Last year's Trouble Makers. You can get the the 3-Phil Pro models for $300 at www.sportsliquidator.com

what about the scratch fs or the chronic? im just about the same size as you and never had ne problems floating or carving with either of those last yr. going mach fast wasnt always the most fun, but thats not what the skis were designed 4.

yep, in addition to that, 175-180 is even a little steep for your size, depending on how good you r, youll want ne thing from ~165-180. i know thats a big range, but its the truth.

dont misinform the kid please.

The Mad_Trix are a solid fucking ski. Last winter i was 5'6 and 140 and yes they are a stiff ski but they carve AMAZING outside of the park which is a huge selling point for me. I dont need a fucking butter zone that helps me nosepress but if im going for them 20mph makes the ski chattery as hell (YES IT DOES)

see...they ski is still but here i am nosepressing with madtrix...

those are 172's

I figured that be about the right range, and that's one of the reasons I spotted the Skogens and the Mike Nicks.

How do the 04/05 pro models compare to this year's Chronic Wides?
