OK, soi m thinking about getting a pair of 179 seth pistols because i might be able to get a good deal on them. I am 5"8 127 lbs and i will probably grow like another inch before next season. I live on the ice coast but i get out west about 15 days a year and ski some decent terrain arounf te east as much as i can. So these won't really be used alot in the park, i will probably get maybe some park ski for the park. So i will probably do about 30% park and 70 % all-mountain/powder/trees with these. Are these any good for me?

Oh excellent,time for a sexy party!-Stewie Griffin

4frnt skis

get p.e.'s and save some money....even if your getting a deal...u wont need pistols...i mean if you're getting k2's ne ways

I wish i was a gangster

don't fucking listen to anyone. get them. mount them at +5. they will kill it! trust me on this one. i've got 179 pistols and i have like 10 lbs on you.

dont get the psitols they are held together by tooth picks and glue. they are so soft and flexy that on ice you will have no contorl! ho for something much stiffer if you live on 'ice coast' but still want to have bc capabilities

being an ce coaster myself, I'd say if you want em, get em. I have 03/04 Pistols and found tem to be fine on teh east. There will be times that you will feel the ski leveraging your boots a bit (from being up on edge) but there will also be times that you love the fact that you have them (when we get pow). All in all, its a very versatile ski and performs fine on the east coast, they just take a little bit of time to get used to.

life is too short to have any regrets

I have the 04/05 179 SPs and live/ski in VT. I'm 6'2'' and 180lbs and I love these things! I have 04/05 PEs too and I found myself taking the SPs out more than I took my PEs out. These things just kill it! True, in really, really icy hardpack they are a bit challenging, but they still can handle it. I've found my tails wash out a bit but otherwise I love them. Pretty quick edge to edge, super stable going switch, awesome to carve on, and just overall a very fun ski!

Smuggs kicks ass

Fat skis, Tight trees

^^Your posts are useless.

I say get them if your still growing or a very good skier. They're going to be long on you either way.
