the turn feels cool because you're supposed to have about equal weight on each ski, so you really feel each carve in both skis instead of having pretty much all your weight on your downhill ski

skiing fast and being lazy with your poles and accidently having the handle pointing at your crotch when the other end sticks into the snow, sending the handle into your balls. never done it but i've come close. but i'm sure being/feeling responsible for someone else's death is the worst.
