^York usually doesn't have too many problems, but keep in mind the neighbourhoods that are a 5 min walk away. The shitheads from driftwood and shoreham know university kids = ipods/laptops/cphones...etc.. easy pickings for street robberies.

That's not how things work. Accidents happen every day and police don't witness every single one of them. It's called an investigation, and I'm guessing the officer has the evidence to back up the charges....
