Oh yeah and make sure you put a coat of warm, soft wax on you skis over the summer to protect the bases and soak in. Don't scrape it off or brush it out until the fall.

I wax for Nordic a lot, and obviosly don't spend so much time on my alpine skis because they get beat up pretty bad. I'll use a soft wax and throw them in a hot box about once a week, and wax with a wax suited for the general temperature of the snow after that. I don't grind or use anything hi...
