Rocker vs Camber for how long a ski feels

I have been reading reviews for the Liberty Origin 106 and a few have stated that it feels like a shorter ski in the front. I am not sure about their frame of reference. The ski has a 15% tail rocker and a 20% tip rocker with a 65% camber. I am currently on a Nordica Enforcer 100 from 2018 in...

Awful season in Revy this winter.

Damn awful season in Revy. Our typical 4-5 year dry cycle. Bad as 2014/2015 & 2009/2010... Had a ton of snow until mid Jan. Nothing consistent and significant since then aside from a few rare random days of snow over a 2+ month stretch. Went from cold and dry to warm and dry. Nothing in the...

    South okanagan rough shape

While most bc interior ski resorts are doing very well a strip across the south okanagan n boundary is pretty awful. Dont think I've seen it this bad ever at Apex but warmer temperatures and every storm passing to the west, east, north hasnt been kind.

Fun, playful, stable, nimble 90mm underfoot skis?

So I got a pair of monster head 82's which are a solid carving ski and great on firm days but not much purpose beyond that for me. Needs to be driven. Also got Nordica Enforcer 100's and they are a great versatile all mountain / big mountain ski , very stable at speed and blows through chop...

Opening day will be a gongshow and a half at Revelstoke this year.

Given that we've received more snow than anywhere else in the PNW and currently have the deepest alpine snow pack... given that Whistler has been god awful with mostly dry weather or high elevation rain, given that most interior BC resorts aren't open or only have 1 lift operating currently...

    Silver Star opening delayed

Decent amount of snow in the alpine though apparently the alpine inversion persisting for the last 4 days and no snow recently has taken a toll. Trending toward a cooler pattern with modest accumulation expected to start Wed night and they were expected to open on Thurs but looks like they are...

Atomic Automatic 109 vs Backland 107

I would assume the Automatic 109 is slightly stiffer and more of an all mountain / soft snow / resort powder ski and the Backland is more of a playful, side country and tour ski? Are there any other skis that are quite similar to the Automatic line up aside from it's successor?

Attack 2 11 for big mountain pow. Icelantic Nomad 115 skis

I have attack 13's on my other skis and love em. Only gripe I have is the newer Attack 2 GW 13's are heavier and pricier. Would the 11's be sufficient? I read they are less durable with decreased performance? My other skis are din set to 9.

LOOKING FOR ATTACK 12/13 BINDINGS IN CANADA

Looking for the earlier series, not the newer/heavier "2" series in Canada. Either the 12 or 13 are fine; for 115 width skis.

    Ass to skis stance?

How do people do this, where it looks like they are almost sitting down on there skis, often in flat sections to maintain speed.

Light freeride - powder bindings for Icelantic Nomad 115's

I have the Aaattack 13's on my all mountain / big mountain skis. I was thinking of getting the Aaattack 12's for my powder / free-ride skis to shave off a little bit of weight. I usually have my DIN at 8.5

Atomic Backland 117, Icelantic Nomad 115, Line Mordecai

What are the major differences and most distinctive attribute when comparing these skis? I'm looking for something light-ish, shorter turn radius, playful and surfy for big mountain/tight tree powder, though still partially forgiving and not totally ineffective should I choose to ride it in...

Going shorter in a wider ski for powder, narrow terrain and dense trees?

I notice in most line ups whenever a ski has additional width, it also often gets additional length... Does it make sense to drop a size down in length for an overly wide ski... Something between 115-120 underfoot with a lot of rocker? If I want a surfy, playful powder ski that will spend most...

Are head Attack 13 bindings the same as the Tyrolia?

Are they pretty much identical? Or what?

    Atomic Backland 117 + Blizzard Rustler 10 or Backland 102 + Rustler 11? + Bonus Question

I am looking to sell my Pinnacle 95's; been on on em for two seasons and I honestly don't like the ski that much despite all the raves and positive reviews. Maybe I'll get the bindings moved on the ski and see what that does? I just find the tips to be a bit squirly and I have to drive the ski...

Did Atomic discontinue the Automatic line?

If so what has replaced them? These were my favorite skis and recently stolen.

Hmm, can't seem to master the K2 pinnacle 95's

I've been riding these as my main ski for 2 full seasons now... Width-wise they seem ideal for all-mountain-all conditions if there isn't a ton of new snow... I don't know if it's the bindings on the ski "Salomon squire" ... The ski is certainly a fun ski... I find it very maneuverable and easy...

Why so much hype for Revelstoke?

So; I've been skiing in Revelstoke since the 2010-2011 season. Probably half a dozen times every season.. And yes, it is a great mountain with great terrain, but thinking about it I've had just as much fun skiing at most of the interior BC ski resorts on a good day as I've had at Revelstoke... I...

Mother nature is a fickle tease

In western Canada we were on our way to potentially the best opening(s) for the season I can ever remember. Lots of snow has come in November and coverage is good... And now 3 days of record breaking warmth with freezing levels at 2900m and heavy rains at 2400m... throughout the entire southern...
