I disagree, I skied both and liked the 179's better. I think the skis float enough at 179 and if you're skiing a resort then you're going to bennefit from the shorter length skiing in the trees and tighter terrain. Sure, if you ski Mammoth or some other wide open mountain then you're never in...
I just saw them at SIA, they all have magnatraction. They look good and felt stiff when I flexed them...they were some of the cooler skis down in vegas, try 'em out, then you'll at least know if you like the magnatraction edges...
