Either buy a RAID 1 external enclosure or a Drobo ( http://www.drobo.com/ ). Drobo's are amazing for redundancy and upgrading.

I've been skiing for the last 21 years (I'm 27) with 10 of those years having over 120 days on snow. Stretch, go to the gym, and eat well. Continuous exercise and eating well have been huge helps.
