I've never gone there (Big White) before. I really like steeps but it doesn't look like there is much black or double black stuff there... I know it can be deceptive because I have been to Silver Star and it is pretty sweet.
Any comment on Big White?
It actually helps your legs remember how to ski so when you hit the mountains you are that much better. Of course 2 or 3 minutes up and 10 seconds down sucks, but we're in Saskatchewan.
I'm going west into Alberta and B.C. from Feb 1st to Feb. 5th. The conditions seem really shitty everywhere. Can anyone comment on recent conditions at Fernie, Silverstar, Whitewater, Big White etc...
Where should I go?
You can also go to Wal-Mart and buy block makers - they are in the kids toy section. They have a handle on the top and you fill them with snow, pack it down and use it to make blocks in a manner similar to building sandcastles. I used to build forts with them and chuck snowballs at cars going by.
