I guess any slr with a decent (wide-angle) lens works fine. Shutter-priority exposure could be extra help too. But if you're thinking of doing sequences it's all different. The you need a motor drive if the body doesn't have it already.
check out http://www.jamesnachtwey.com/ for one the more recent war photographers. I think his work is great even though subjects and situations are rather sad. That kind of photojournalism is the kind of photojournalism that can make at least a slight difference - if any photography can - in...

What do you think about the new Frances the Mute album? I think it kind of falls apart. Perhaps it's too prog for me to like with just a few listens. If listened more, it would prolly start to sound better.
If can find, try Magyar Posse's 'Kings of time'. It might be hard to find from shops, because it's finnish, but try DC++ or some other p2p program. It is really relaxing, slow-paced guitar instrumental music. I like the 7 track CD a lot.
1. Rage Against The Machine - the first band I listened to and I still do
2. Radiohead - need I say more?
3. Tool - Lateralus and Aenima are pure genious.
4. Pink Floyd - They have so many great albums.
5. Slayer.
