All right so I read about liquid nails, but do you think I can get something good with 1/4" HDPE?

All right so I call this place where they sell HDPE but unfortunately they only have 1/4" HDPE. I read that 1/4" would be really thin for counter-sink screws so I was wondering if you guys think I could use some industrial glue to secure the HDPE on my top sheet.

Yeah I meant Polyethylene not fiberglass sorry. That would probably be HDPE.
