    Salomon Depart- brief review, AMA

Borrowed some Salomon Departs for a few runs at Lake Louise. Here are a few observations: The ski is super fun. The shape really does facilitate unconventional lines in the park and playfulness on the rest of the mountain. They felt light and responsive everywhere and are a perfect platform...

    Video player issues.

In the last month or so I've been having the worst time trying to watch any videos posted on Newschoolers. There's no problem playing a YouTube embed on this website or streaming anything else. Any video (including the ads that play before every video) that is posted to NS will play for 5-10...

    AT bindings

I've been touring with frame bindings for around 10 years and now ready to retire my Guardians. Looking for recommendations for a pin binding. I'll be mounting them to Moment Deathwish Tour and using Tecnica cochise boots. I'm touring 12+ times a season, mostly east of Quebec with maybe a...

    Pantaloons

Just got a new pair of Dickies 874 after having worn my old ones into the ground and it struck me how they are the ideal combination of fit, comfort, utility and value. Old school Levis 514 are great too but they truly do not make em like they used to. What are your go to pants?

    Can't explain the feeling.

Every time I go skiing it's just the best. It doesn't matter what else is going on, where I am or what the weather/conditions are, skiing just makes the day a good one. It's amazing to ski solo but when there's a good crew around it's even better. Thank you skiing!

    Telelmark Boots & Bindings

Does anyone have advice on what Tele boots and bindings to get, or have used tele gear they'd sell? Not looking for anything fancy. I've done a bit of tele skiing over the years on borrowed gear and really enjoy it, but not looking to abandon alpine skiing for tele. I ski anywhere from 80-120...
