During the edge filling some steel burrs stay on my ski base and make it unpolished/rough. How can I repair this?

I like to wax my skis by myself and want to know how you guys doing it. It's always good to have better or worse tricks. Thanks

Im 5'-9"(1.75m) tall and weight 170 pounds. I just bought the K2 public enemy 06 164cm with the salomon s914 fis binding. Im an intermediate-advanced skier who like to go in the park(40%) and in all mountain(60%). I choose my ski 10cm shorter for the maniability. I think i did a good choice...
