    Another UBC thread

Just got accepted to UBC and am trying to decide where to spend the next four years of my life. I was wondering if anyone could give me info on the dorms, nightlife etc. Also where should I get season pass to (Grouse, Cypress or Seymour) when I ski about 50/50 park and all mountain? Thanks.

Theyve really stepped up the coverage of freeskiing this year...good stuff. Anyways thought I should mention cause everyone is talking about increasing exposure this year and what not. On a slightly unrelated note did anyone see the Simon Dumont Oakley add that was just on? HAH.

    Question

Why are threads about Corey Vanular being deleted? He is and was one of the most innovative skiers in the game, why can he not be discussed on Newschoolers.com? Is it because he is sponsored by the company that shall not be named?

    X Games Slopestyle Course

Check out the latest Jon Video Blog for reference... Looks like they decided to build it for the spectators rather than the athletes. I can definitely understand what Jon is saying about safety on the channel gap. Hope the riders can still throw down which I'm sure they will.

    Lake Louise has jumps!!!

New majority owner Charlie Locke has banished the RCR jump restriction...although it sounds like he's still tentative at bringing the park back to its former glory. A good improvement none the less!! http://www.skilouise.com/the-mountain/terrain_park.aspx

    Boarder Dies at Whistler

A snowboarder died at Whistler after hitting a boulder on a closed run. Yet another reminder to keep it safe, especially when there is not too much snow on the ground. http://http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/RTGAM.20081223.wsnowboard1223/BNStory/National/home
