    Smashed tip/bent edge

So today I got a little overconfident skiing the trees and managed to smash my tip on a rock. I've used epoxy to repair delaminated skis before, but at this point I'm not sure if I should try to bend the edge back and rivet, or cut the bent edge out?

    Hard boot splitboard touring

I used to snowboard almost as much as I skied as a kid and wanted to get back into it. Since I have Lupo AX's, I figured it would be nice to use hard boot bindings. I was gonna go with the Voile split kit and cut an old board in half. Btw if anyone has info on bindings lmk cause they don't look...

    Strava

Anyone use Strava for skiing at resorts? I'm gonna start making segments at my home mtn to see who can b line top to bottom the fastest without getting their pass pulled or dying.

    FinCEN leak

Anyone hear about this? $2 trillion of dirty money moved "unknowingly". JP Morgan moved $1B through a London account without knowing whose money they're moving. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-54226107

Ascendant Sammy C vs Lupo AX

Has anyone used both of these shells? I currently use Lupo AX's and have now killed two sets of walk switches. Supposedly the new Sammy C has a more durable walk switch. I've had a decent amount of shell work done to my Lupos and they fit me really well. If anyone knows if the new walk switch...

Would you be interested in enduro racing on skis?

Quarantine got me bored as shit watching skiing and mountain bike videos, as well as riding my bike a lot more. So title says it all. Probably my favorite thing next to linking up natural gaps and hitting the park at my home mountain is sending it through tight trees. Learning where the rocks...

Dalbello Lupo AX walk switch replacement

So I've blown up 2 pairs of walk switches on my Lupos, and I'm getting sick of replacing them. Favorite boot so far. The FT Ascendant looks like it uses the exact piece of stamped metal. I have a rudimentary .stl file for the base plate if anyone has any tools to make it. Not like it'll be easy...

    They called me a madman

Had some Volkl Ledges lying around and figured they’d make a decent spring/beater touring ski. Still need to figure out narrower brakes. Might cut swallow tails cause the extra skins I have are just too small to fit normally.

    NSers at UMB?

Was walking back from class and noticed a NS sticker on a bike outside the east residence hall Total shot in the dark here, given that most people I know with NS stickers aren't active in the forums, but figured I'd ask. UMass Boston BTW.

    Where to acquire tech pins?

So I have an idea in the works, but need to get a hold of some pins for a tech binding. For early testing purposes I figure I can get away with grinding the ends of bolts down and threading them into the part they'd ideally be welded to, but it seems most tech binding replacement parts are for...

    JIBERISH, FIX YOUR FUCKING HOODIES

Remember when @Jiberish used 80/20 cotton/poly, and full poly ribbing/cuffs? Remember when their hoodies actually had some elasticity? I remember. First 2 pics of my brothers of the blade hoodie, 2013 maybe? Doesn't stay stretched out, so if I actually wanted to ski in it, the hoodie would hold...

    East Coast Avy data

I know Mt Washington gets dangerous, but I've been eying the North slide of Tripyramid in Waterville Valley, and a few other spots in the white mountains. Steep and narrow. My buddies and I have beacons and know how to dig pits, but I'm more interested in past seasons avalanche data to get an...

Add stiffness to Dalbello Lupo AX

After 2 seasons on my Lupo AX 120's I have decided that they are too soft. I currently run an ID Pro liner from some krypton pro's that my local ski shop had. My previous boots were Il Moros, which had a ridge on the inside back of the upper cuff, where you could slide these pieces of plastic...

    Cosmetic or structural damage?

My fks 180 baseplate has a crack, exposing some metal below. Anyone else crack this piece open? I wouldn’t be worried about functionality on the current ski, but more concerned about pieces coming apart when I remount later this month. I’ve also shattered the afd’s but I currently have...

    Banshee Bungee longevity?

Title says it all, I have a 20’ banshee bungee, purchased in 2013, not used since like 2015. Some cracks in the rubber and can imagine the consequences of a bungee snapping on you... Lmk what you think.

Add Stiffness to Dalbello Lupo AX

After one season of using my Lupo AX’s, I have concluded that they are to soft for me. Problem is, that the slot for the plastic pieces you place above the heel to add stiffness to most keypton shells are not there. Does Dalbello make stiffer tongues than the ones that come with them? They claim...
