I have monday off from my college (about an hour north of NYC) this weekend and my buds and I are looking to head up North for some better skiing...whats the word on what mountain has the best conditions? I'm really looking to do some off trail stuff so basically wheres the snow at right now...

I'm looking for a versatile powder ski that I can shred some medium pow pow on for a bunch of trips I got lined up but can still have a little fun with in the Northeast. Volkl Katana or Dynastar Huge Trouble? Pretty similar skis...lemme know what ya'll think.

So I just finished my first summer set up and broke a support on about my 8th hit...SHIT. time for repairs... any suggestions for type of soap to use?
