Im curious... whats involved in qualifying for Skier X. Besides nerves of steel. Do they have qualifier runs throughout the year like other events. Or do you just sign all the waivers and hope for the best... so any noob could compete.

I dont get it. If your basically a nobody in the sport and you do a spin... how can you really honestly tell someone it was an unnatural spin? Everyone just instantly knows when your going the opposite rotation you normally go? how do judges know?

for me: 8 years... I see no reason to upgrade.. I got a DIN of 14 on my Marker Bindings. I dont see any revolutionary changes in bindings other than fancy pretty graphics... woo f'n hoo! They are functional and safe. Old.. and they work.. and I rarely see DIN of 14 on anything. Go for it...

last year my friend was up at Killington skiing around... when ski patrol stopped him, told him he was skiing way too fast... made him go into the lodge or some building and watch a 45minute long movie about skier safety. If he didnt they would pull his pass. This year... he doesnt wants to go...
