Me and one of my friends have found a great place to build a good jump at our ski area. there is a really steep landing and nice inrun to it, and i was wondering if we should build a flatter take off but with more of a gap to the landing, or a steeper jump that kicks you up higher?

Every time i try a kinked rail i always end up catching and edge at the kink or if i try to pick my foot up over it i just slide out any advice or do i just need to keep practicing
