I just measured my prophet and its 176 from tip to tail, not running surface. So you may want to go w/ the 172, all prefence. But I love my 80's (last seasons model), and I plan on getting the 90's in the future. All around a great ski, highly recommend it.

If he is looking for a freeride ski I really enjoy my prophets 80, I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great all mt ski.

I say go w/ the 176 b/c you weigh 140lb, and ur gonna gain more weight as you get older. Unless everyone in ur family is 6'4" I see the 176 being a good ski for you grow into weight wise.

Well the biggest I would go is around 175,and yes I like a stiffer ski but I wanna stay away from the karma's and other all mt/park ski and look are more of a pure park ski. So would the Fujative 169, or Ar5/Ar6 in a 171 or 176, or invaders in a 171 or 178 be my best choices. I dont know, it...
