i just bought some jj's and the bindings are mounted directly to ski and was wondering if binding risers (idk what they're really called) would be useful/needed. if i do need risers are they easy to install or should i have my local ski shop do it for me? +k for any help

i found a guy in my area asking $400 for 09-10 JJ's with look px14's, used 15-20 times only on pow days... edges look new and theres like one visible scratch on the base... good deal?
i have trouble with all the rain/snow at baker i mean i know its unavoidable to stay dry but the pants i have now are like jeans as far as water proofing goes, anyone else have some good luck with other pants?
what would you guys recommend? ski all mountain, bumps, hardpack, groomers, do quite a few drops... just looking for some other peoples opinions im currently thinking the JJ's because they seem more versatile.
